In United States History II, students start the year off with the Civil War and work their way up to the present day. Along the way students are encouraged to steer the direction of the course discussion with topics of their own choosing. We will spend time discussing past political and socio-economic issues and their effects on the American people, especially the poor, minorities and women. We will also use films, games and yes, even models, to help establish a better understanding and appreciation for how our past determines our present and future.
